This blog is about my dream of becoming a children's book illustrator. I worked for 7 years as a 2D animator and story artist, and I loved my work. I mean, I REALLY loved my work. I would run to work because I was so excited about the prospect of drawing all day. When I had my children I became utterly enchanted by children's books. I am studying an MA in children's illustration and this blog is to chart my progress, my thoughts, desolation, and inspiration.

Tiny sketch paintings
Had a lovely day painting today. I was inspired by a sketchbook I saw of small painted landscapes and I had to go and try it. I have really enjoyed it and I think I will do more. Next time I might concentrate on really muted colours, because I think I like soft palettes to look at.
